Mixed Nuts Florentine Recipe




 Hi Readers,


My mom found a video from TikTok showing how to make Florentine with a mix of nuts and wanted to try making it. Checking the local bakery supply shop and found that the premix for Florentine is available there. So we make plans to try making it.

The experiment works and it turns out quite nice and the not too sweet. The taste reminds me of our local peanuts bepang. 

So below is the recipe of what we did to make this mixed nuts florentine. 


Mixed Nuts Florentine

Ingredients:

175g Almond Flakes

100g Pumpkin Seeds

100g Sunflower Seeds

50g Black Sesame Seeds

250g Florentine Flour Premix (Bake King brand called German Almond Crisp Mix)

Optional Muffin Papercups (42mm diameter)

Note: You can also use a muffin tray instead if you have but make sure to oil it first so that the florentine can be easily removed.


Instructions:

1) Bake the nuts for about 5 mins to warm them up.

2) Place all the nuts and the premix flour in a mixing bowl.

3) Mix them with a spoon or spatula. Mix well

4) Once mixed, place some muffin papercups on a baking tray. 

5) Using a tea spoon, fill each papercup 2 tea spoons of the mixture about 10 ml.

6) Once done, bake the florentine in the oven at 180 degrees celcius at about 12 mins. It should turn to a golden brown colour.

7) Once baked, remove from the oven and wait for it to cool down.

8) Once cooled down, pop each florentine from the papercups. Stored it or serve it after that.


The 2 teaspoons is our gauge based on the preference on how thick you want the florentine to be. You can increase it if you want thicker or decrease it if you want thinner. 

I think it turns out not bad for first time.
