Back in Dec 2020, I ordered this Curl Keeper set from ManeheavenSG to try. So this a review on using the 4 products from Curl Keeper after more than 6 months.
Note: I use the products on and off between the 8 months period while at home.
First of all, I have curly hair under my hijab and it is type 3 curls which tend to be dry and difficult to manage.
This Curl Keeper set has 4 products, the Original Liquid Styler (Curl Keeper's bestseller), the Refresh Styling Spray, the H20 Water Bottle and the Flexi Brush.
Original Liquid Styler (Curl Keeper's bestseller)
At first, I liked this styler as it has a more liquidity consistency so it is easy to spread it onto the hair. But at the end of the day, my hair feels weird, not soft, not like gel crunch but somewhere in between.
Let's just say, I didn't like the feeling. I tried again some time later, after I got my hair cut but the feeling remains the same. Not sure is it because of Singapore's hot and high humidity weather that's why the product doesn't work well or just my hair.
Refresh Styling Spray
For the spray, I didn't like the product either. Like the styler, it makes my hair feels weird. I did try again after some time but same feeling. Not saying it's bad but I guess it doesn't suit my hair.
H20 Water Bottle
Love this water bottle. It is just basically a normal water bottle but with a very good spray. The nozzle sprays water in ultra-fine and continually method so it can cover large areas of hair.
Flexi Brush
My favourite item from this set, the Flexi Brush is easy to use and best part, doesn't pull my hair and cause hair breakage. It is great to create curl clumps as well. This is on par with the Wet Brush so I use them interchangeably.
Overall, I don't think I will purchase this set again or the items in it as it doesn't work for my hair. I would like to recommend the Flexi Brush though for the reasons stated above. Do note that while it doesn't work for my hair, it may work for yours so do try a sample if interested.
