Sirih Jungjung & Sirih Dara

Hi Readers.

What is Sirih Dara?

Sirih Dara or virgin betel leaves is a floral arrangement made from sirih (betel leaves). The arrangement can be as simple as the picture above or as intricate as can be. This is placed at the wedding dais and represents the chastity of the bride. It is a gift from the bride to the groom's family.

What is Sirih Jungjung?

Similarly, Sirih Jungjung is a floral arrangement made from sirih (betel leaves). The arrangement can be as simple as the picture above or as intricate and big as can be. This is also placed at the wedding dais and represents the chastity of the groom. It is a gift from the groom to the bride's family.

Sirih Jungjung is typically bigger than Sirih Dara. They can both be made from real leaves and flowers or using artificial leaves and flowers or a combination of real flowers and artificial leaves.
