Double Chocolate Nut Drop Cookie

Hi Readers. This is a simple cookie recipe that my family usually makes for Hari Raya or Eid.


Double Chocolate Nut Drops recipe 

Ingredients:


172.5g Salted Butter

150g Caster Sugar

110g Brown Sugar

1 Large Egg

1 Teaspoon Essence of Vanilla

270g Plain flour

20g Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

170g Chocolate Chips 

100g Diced nuts (almond/walnut)


Note: Chocolate chips can be removed but need to add-on the nuts in equivalent, e.g. 250g of walnuts and removed chocolate chips


Instructions:


  1. Beat the butter and sugars (caster and brown sugars) until light and fluffy. 
  2. Add in the egg and vanilla essence and mix well. 
  3. Sift cocoa powder, flour and baking powder together and add into butter mixture. 
  4. Add chocolate chips and nuts to the mixture and mix well to form a smooth dough. 
  5. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough or any size you prefer onto the baking tray.
  6. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees celsius for approximately 13 minutes or until crispy.
