Hi readers. One of my favourite dessert growing up is agar-agar gudir or some call it agar-agar santan. Gudir refers to the curdling state when egg is added into the santan (coconut milk) and booled resulting in a mixture that resembles curd and whey.

There are actually 3 versions of this type of jelly, green pandan, brown gula melaka (palm sugar) and pink/red rose. The difference is due to the essence and colouring used, e.g. green pandan using pandan leaves and green colouring. This the recipe for the pink/red rose version.

  11. The different layer will be seen as the agar-agar cools down.
  12. Once cooled, cut the agar-agar and serve.

Happy making the agar-agar!
